“REMEMBER THE
PARAMOUNT”
Dear Artistic Director,
On Saturday night, August 18, 2007, The Heritage Dance Foundation, Inc., a non
profit dance foundation located in Goldsboro, will present a dance benefit for
the rebuilding of the Paramount Theater at Wayne Community College. Working in
conjunction with all the dance studios of Wayne County, “Remember the Paramount”
will be a retrospective of the memory of the Paramount during the past 100 years
as well as a celebration of the rebirth of the new Paramount Theater, expressed
through the medium of dance. All proceeds from this dance benefit, “Remember the
Paramount”, will be given to The Paramount Theater Foundation, Inc., a non
profit foundation under the leadership of Mr. David Weil for the purpose of
obtaining the finances needed for this reconstruction effort.

AUDITIONS:
On July 31, 2007 at Top Hat Ballroom Studio, we will be holding auditions to
select the most appropriate dance routines from each studio for the show. EVERY
STUDIO PARTICIPATING will have at least one number in the show. Contact Cheri
Snow, Director, for more information.
TICKET SALES:
All participating studios will be given priority for ticket sales. We have
reserved 200 seats for parents and friends of the dancers for the show, Tickets
will be available for the studios on July 16th, 2007. Any unsold tickets will be
returned for sale to the general public by August 3, 2007.All dance performers
will be given dance passes for the show.
BIOGRAPHY:
We need as soon as possible a short biography of each artistic dance director
with their photo for the program. See sample below

We will need the list of each dancer, the name of the piece, and music for each
routine to publish in the program. See sample below:

abducts her followed by a Big Band Medley featuring the sounds of Glenn Miller
with dancers from Dance Plus, Robertas and Inga and Top Hat Ballroom including
Charles & Melissa Zwerling, Tamara Congdon, Allen Grimes & Tara Butler, Norman &
Ella Hooker, , choreography by Patti Troy
DANCER RELEASE FORMS: Please have each
dancer (guardian) sign the release form for the show. Click to see form
REHEARSALS:
Cheri Snow, Director, will schedule dress rehearsal times for August 17th, 2007
at Wayne Community College. Our block of time is from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Of
course we must have your music for the dress rehearsal. Each artistic Director
will be responsible for the preparation of their dancers for the show.
