The National Dance
Council of America (NDCA) is the official governing body for dancing in the United States.

Its purpose is to provide, on a nation-wide basis, a united inter-association agency to represent the interests of those in the dance profession and other dance-related entities and organizations and to act as the agency for cooperation with similar councils in other countries.

To also conduct a continuing campaign for the establishment and the maintenance of high standards in dance education, and to acquaint the public with the nature and benefits of these standards and to recognize the status of qualified dance teachers affiliated to member organizations of this Council.

We are organized and operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and are approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501©(3) nonprofit organization. USABDA is a Virginia Corporation and is registered with the State Division of Consumer Affairs, Commonwealth of Virginia, PO Box 1163, Richmond, VA 23209, Telephone (804)786-2042, as a charitable organization authorized to solicit and receive donations from the public.

The WD&DSC is the world authority for professional Dance and Dance Sport. As our name indicates we have two sections. One deals with professional Dance Sport, the other Dance Schools and the Dance Teacher.

www.wddsc.com The World Dance & Dance Sport Council Ltd, fomerly known as the International Council of Ballroom Dancing (ICBD), was established on 22nd September 1950 in Edinburgh, Scotland. A small group of 22 professionals, from 12 countries created what has today become the leading authority on Professional Dance and Dance Sport throughout the world. The aims of the Council are to encourage and promote dancing through its membership. The policy of the Council requires that the member in each country should operate under democratic principles similar to those of the WD&DSC Ltd. Each country is allowed one member. The members elect their Presidium, (Company Directors/Vice-Presidents) every three years. New members are elected by the members at an annual meeting of the General Council.
